Beaches, reef adventures and lobster on Anegada
Low, sandy and surrounded by reef, Anegada feels different from the steep green islands elsewhere in the BVI. Come for long beaches, time by the sea and a leisurely meal with a view.
How to enjoy the day
Choose a beach outing, arrange a local island tour or make a restaurant reservation for a lobster lunch or dinner. Anegada is a place to leave time between plans, rather than rush through several stops.
Snorkeling and diving need suitable conditions and knowledgeable local guidance around the reefs. Wildlife sightings and seafood availability vary, so confirm any particular experience before making it the reason for your trip.
Getting there
Arrange a dedicated ferry, flight or charter itinerary and onward transport on the island. If starting in the USVI, confirm that the boat and schedule suit an Anegada journey; it is not an automatic addition to an ordinary half-day charter. Check return arrangements before heading to a remote beach.
What to bring
- Swimwear, towels, a hat, sunglasses and plenty of sun protection.
- Drinking water and payment for meals or ground transport.
- A dry bag for a boat outing.
- Valid passports and required documents when crossing from the USVI.
